Welcome to our Project Proposal Submission page. Here, researchers can learn how to submit their proposals to collaborate with Nottingham Refugee Forum on impactful projects that align with our mission to support refugees and asylum seekers.

Before submitting your requests please read and consider the points listed below.  Project proposals should be sent to info@nottsrefugeeforum.org.uk. Proposals will be reviewed by the management team, and we aim to respond within 4-6 weeks. Due to the volume of inquiries, please be patient for feedback.

Project Proposal Guidance

  1. Brief Description
    Provide a concise overview of your research, including objectives, relevance to our mission, and expected outcomes.
    Timeline: Outline your project’s timeline, including key milestones and completion date.
    Research Team: Introduce your research team members and their roles in your request.
  1. Ethics and Confidentiality
    Ensure your research adheres to high ethical standards, respecting the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of participants. We will need to see a copy of approval from the university.
    Any data collected must be stored securely and used solely for the stated research purposes.
  1. Self-Sufficiency
    Interpreters: Please note that while we understand the importance of clear communication, we are unable to provide free interpreting services for research purposes. Researchers are responsible for arranging and funding their interpreters if needed.
    Transport: Researchers are also responsible for their transport arrangements and costs. Plan accordingly to ensure access to research sites or interviews without expecting transport support from Nottingham Refugee Forum.
  1. Collaboration and Communication
    Maintain open and regular communication with us from the email address provided below to coordinate on research activities, updates, and findings.
    We appreciate collaborations that allow for mutual learning and sharing. Consider opportunities for presenting your findings to our team.
  2. Publication and Sharing of Findings
    We encourage the dissemination of research findings that can benefit our community and broader audiences.
    Please share your final report, publications, or presentations with us. We request to review materials before public dissemination to ensure accuracy and respect for participants’ confidentiality.
  3. Acknowledgment
    Acknowledge the collaboration with Nottingham Refugee Forum in your publications or presentations as agreed upon.
