Nottingham Refugee Forum was proud to host the uplifting Voices of Hope concert, at Nottingham Playhouse’s Neville Studio on November 28. It coincided with Giving Tuesday, a global day that encourages people to donate to charity, and we used the opportunity to launch our Christmas fundraising appeal.
The event was a sell out, and a packed auditorium enjoyed an evening of music and poetry, focused around offering kindness and a warm welcome to refugees. Food for the evening was prepared by our very own Cafe Narjis, who served a delicious vegan chilli and nachos to guests.
The proceeds of the evening went to our foodbank and anti-destitution project. We’re delighted to say we reached our target for the Christmas Campaign in record time, however if you would like to make a donation you can still do so.
Thank you to the artists, staff, and volunteers who made the event possible.
